Izzy Bennett is a good Freshman for the Cass City Red Hawks Girls Basketball Team. Been a good addition to the program for 2nd year Head Coach Reggie Ignash. She is a “Lefty” out there. Got her from Kingston this past summer. Shot lights out against the Sandusky Wolves on Wednesday Night in the Division 3 Regional Championship Game at Burton Bendle HS. Get a 54-30 win. Guided them to win their 1st ever Regional Championship Title in School History. Quarterfinal Bound. Take on the Pewamo-Westphalia Pirates in the Division 3 Quarterfinals at Millington HS 7 PM. Been on amazing run in the postseason so far. See a good opponent in this matchup. Elite 8 in HS Girls Basketball in Michigan on Tuesday Night. Job ain’t done yet.

Izzy’s Mom played on 2 Class C District Championship Title for the Elkton-Pigeon-Bayport Lakers Girls Basketball Team 2002 & 2004. Played on the 2004 Class C Regional Title in her Senior year in HS. Lose to the Detroit St. Martin DePorres Eagles at Clintondale HS in the Class C Quarterfinals. She knew Reggie really well at Laker Country in the past years. Knows a lot about Reggie in his days. Izzy’s mom was a 2005 Laker HS Graduated. Skylar & Karsen Ignash on Varsity right now for the Cass City Red Hawks Girls Basketball Team.

Izzy’s mom played for Head Coach Todd Comment in HS for the EPB Lakers Girls Basketball Team. Todd played for Head Coach Ron Rurenberger in HS for the Cass City Red Hawks Boys Basketball Team. Todd can shoot the Basketball with the best of them. 1981 Cass City HS Graduated. Good duo with Craig Tonti at the helm. Todd played on the 1980 Class C Regional Championship Title as a Junior in HS for the Cass City Red Hawks Boys Basketball Team. Todd’s Dad owned Charmont Lanes Bowling Alley in the past years in Cass City. Todd Comment & Craig Tonti complimenting one another on the playing court in the past years. Good duo to talk about. Worked very well together as a team.

Reggie Ignash was a standout 4-sport athlete in the Class of 1992 at Lakers HS. On the 1992 Class C Regional Champions for the Elkton-Pigeon-Bayport Lakers Boys Basketball Team. Beat the undefeated Memphis Yellowjackets in the Regional Semifinal Game & beat the Cass City Red Hawks in the Regional Championship Game at Goodrich HS. Lose to the Detroit St. Martin DePorres Eagles in the Quarterfinals at Flint Hamady HS. Lakers had a good Basketball team in 1992. Played for Head Coach Bill McLellan Sr in all 3 sports in HS. Taking the Cass City Red Hawks Girls Basketball Team to their 1st ever Quarterfinal appearance in School History. Take on Pewamo-Westphalia Pirates at 7 PM Millington HS on Tuesday Night. I will be there for that one. Take on another good opponent once again. Reggie is a good coach. Izzy is blessed to be playing for Reggie in HS. Been a good addition to this program.
