Maddie Hohne played 3 years on Varsity Softball for the Brown City Green Devils. A lot of good moments to talk about No. 7 on the mound. She was a good pitcher & hitter for Head Coach Scott Parr. Over 500 strikeouts in the 3 years on Varsity. Over 200 K’s as a Freshman in 2023. Played in 2024 as a Sophomore. Couldn’t play as a Junior in 2025. Suffered an ACL Knee Injury. She was a lot better in 2026 one final season. Going to play College Softball next season. Her new journey is underway.

Finally beat the USA Patriots in a come from behind win in the Division 4 Regional Semifinal Game on June 6th, 2026 at USA HS. Down 7-3 heading into the 5th inning. Grand Slam HR by Syndey Mabee to tie the game at 7 runs apiece. Win 10-8 down goes USA. End a Regional Champions at 21 straight years in a row. End the curse. 2 comeback wins in the Regionals. Walk-off hit by Linzee Matthews with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th inning. GW run by Alania Roberts. Take home their 1st ever Regional Championship Trophy to take home to Brown City HS.
Beat the Byron Eagles in the Division 4 Quarterfinals at Mott Community College in Flint. On Tuesday June 9th, 2026. 8-0 win. Take that one to the 1st ever Division 4 Semifinals. Beat the Fowler Eagles 7-1 on Friday Night at Secchia Stadium in East Lansing. Michigan State University. Lose 6-2 in the Division 4 State Championship Game to the Defending State Champions Mendon Hornets on Saturday Night.
Phenomenal performance on the mound against Byron & Fowler on Tuesday & Friday on the mound. Bring back so many memories to Maddie Hohne. Start a new journey. HS days are over. Phenomenal 3 years for the Brown City Green Devils Softball Team. Graduated at Brown City HS in the Class of 2026…… Scott Parr, Nathan Boller, & Jasmin Hagner will miss having her on the roster & in the program…… Impressive stuff indeed……. Very good pitcher…….. I enjoy covering her games for 3 years……. Congratulations on your fine career overall…….
