Head Coach Joe McDevitt has done a good job with the Armada Tigers Girls Basketball Team in his 2 years at the helm. Took for John Baerwolf’s position a year ago. John kept that program in excellent shape for Joe to keep that rolling for more to come yet still. Armada is had a good history of Girls Basketball in the past years. Had some really good players that played in the program. Split with the Yale Bulldogs on Thursday Night at Armada HS. Each time winning at home in BWAC action this season. Did a good job on Sadie Dykstra in this game at home last week. Sadie hurt the 1st time around. Scoring 32 points in a 69-62 Yale win at their place the 1st time around. Armada got revenge from that lost the 1st time around. Got a “W” in front of your home crowd on hand for that contest. The 2 best teams in the 2024-25 BWAC Girls Basketball where the Yale Bulldogs & Armada Tigers. Won the 2024 Division 2 Districts a year ago. Lose to the Goodrich Martians in the Regional Semifinal Game a year ago at Goodrich HS. Joe McDevitt has collected 2 trophies in his resume so far in Armada. Gym Teacher at Armada HS.
Claire Sniesak & Ashlyn Upton are their 2 best players on the roster. They are good Leaders & Best in the program. Love having both of them their anyways. Younger players can follow their suit. Need senior leaders in all HS sports on the Varsity. Joe has 2 nice ones their anyways. Win in the classroom & carry that one over to the playing field. Claire & Ashlyn are good team players to have out there anyways. They are good team players to have on the roster. Good competitors to have. Play with a lot of heart & determination for this roster. Showcase that one against the Yale Bulldogs on Thursday Night at home. Get a must win scenario against a good team like Yale. Won a share of the BWAC Title in the 2024-25 campaign…. Still have the one loss on the season so far….
