Deckerville Eagles Volleyball Team Won The 2025 Big Thumb Conference Champions. Head Coach Jessica Heilig had everyone back from the 2024 squad. Won the 2024 Division 4 District Title at Kingston HS against the Marlette Red Raiders. Went to the Division 4 Regional Championship Game at Mayville HS. Lose to the Ubly Bearcats. Build on that momentum to the 2025 campaign. Had a good summer workout to prepare for this one. They’ve had good Volleyball at the Big D in the past years. Good players & coaches during that time in Deckerville. Known for their Football. Talk about Volleyball in this one.
Losing one player to graduation Emma Roberts. Set good examples for this young squad in her 2 years on Varsity. Now onto her new journey now. Good leader for this unit. This core is doing good work in 2025 instead. Jessica misses having Emma in the program. She is doing good work as Head Coach. Jessica knows her Volleyball very well. 2001 Deckerville HS Graduated. Came back home after College. Found a job in the Thumb Area. She knows the people & culture at the Big D. Bring back winning Volleyball once again.
Beat the Mayville Wildcats 3-0 on Tuesday Night at Mayville HS. Take home the Big Thumb Conference Blue Division Trophy to Deckerville HS. Focus on the Districts this coming week in practice. Can’t teach experience at all. New season now. Make your postseason run count for everyone else. Focus on practice 1st. Win move on & lose go home. Pick one you want. Leave it all on the line.
