Michael Fernald carried the load for the Cass City Red Hawks Boys Basketball Team to a upset victory over the EPB Lakers in the 1st Rd of the Division 3 District Game on Tuesday Night at Laker HS. Made big shots for his Dad’s squad in this contest. He is a Sophomore right now at Cass City HS. His Cousin Carter Patrick helped him out as well too in this game on the road. He is a Freshman right now at Cass City HS. That is going to be a good Cousin Tandem in the next 2 years for the Cass City Red Hawks Boys Basketball Team. Michael made a big shot at the end of regulation to send that one to OT. Cass City went on to upset Lakers on the road on Tuesday Night. Hurt not having Anthony Sheridon in the lineup for the EPB Lakers Boys Basketball Team in this game. Cass City took advantage of that one too. Give credit to Head Coach Aaron Fernald & Company on that advantage in the upset victory on Tuesday Night. Anthony had to sit out this week with the COVID-19 Quarantine as well too. Back 2 Back Years Cass City upset the USA Patriots on March 11th, 2020 at USA HS & EPB Lakers on Tuesday Night at Laker HS. Cass City will be a better team next season. Going to be a young squad & talented one indeed. EPB Lakers will still be a good squad as well too. Bill McLellan Jr. did a good job with this unit all season long. Go back to drawing board & get ready for the off-season to start out now for the EPB Lakers Boys Basketball Team starting on Wednesday until the summer arrives. Cass City Red Hawks JV Boys Basketball Team went 8-1 overall record this season. Good core of Freshman on that squad now at Cass City HS. They made a good difference of this team in 2021. Couple of nice Sophomores on the JV Team too. Future is bright now in Cass City & Lakers in the near future. Congratulations on your brilliant performance from Sophomore Michael Fernald on the upset victory over there rivals on Tuesday Night at Laker HS.
