Jake Townsend led the way for the Cros-Lex Pioneers Football Team to a 28-7 victory over the North Branch Broncos on Friday Night at Cros-Lex HS. Threw 2 TD Passes & Long TD Run. Ran in for a 2-Pt Conversion & Threw a 2-Pt Conversion as well too. Head Coach Mike LeGrow is happy to have a good Senior Leader on this squad in the 2021 campaign. Senior Leadership is important in HS Sports. Jake has good Senior Leadership Skills. Help out the young ones to succeed in the future years ahead of them now at Cros-Lex. Stud 3-Sport Athlete in the Class of 2022. His Sister Calli was on hand covering that game too. She was proud of what Jake did in that one too. She was a stud Athlete also too in her days at Cros-Lex HS in the Class of 2017. His Brother Curt is a Stud Baseball Player at Concordia College right now. Threw 2 TD Passes to Kirk Wilson in the 1st Quarter & Sophomore Gavin Espinoza in the 4th Quarter. Gavin had a good game as a Sophomore at DB also too. 2 INT’s in that game. Held a good North Branch Wing-T Offense to 7 Points on the scoreboard. Defense wins games also too. Defensive Coaches did a great game in that game to prepare for that Offense Jeremy Ferman runs out there anyways. Bryce Davis, Michael & Brian Sheridan, & Chris Zielinski on a outstanding job they did in the victory at home. Lose to a good Williamston Hornets Football Team at home last week. Got them fired up for this one indeed. Your not satisfied with this victory at all. Gotta keep improving when the season comes along. North Branch is a good Young Team. They will bounce back from that one. Can we see them go against them in the Division 4 Playoff Game still in 2021? We will find out about that one too still in the 2021 campaign. Can’t win 6 games to make the playoffs anymore now. Going back to the point system now like they had in the old ones in the past years. MHSAA Football Playoffs has that one now. Jeremy Ferman is a Great Head Coach for the North Branch Broncos Football Team & Program. Getting a victory like that one tells you a lot this unit they got in 2021 Cros-Lex Pioneers Football Team. North Branch lost a lot of them off the team to Graduation in the Class of 2021. Good pieces there still in store now. Mike LeGrow will tell them be Smart & Decisive about things. Keep on going for it more to come yet still in play. Keep improving & drive it more to come yet. Good team victory on your home crowd on Friday Night at Cros-Lex HS. Great Team for sure in the 2021 campaign for the Cros-Lex Pioneers Football Team. Total Team Effort all the way around period.
