Played on the best team in 1991 & 1992. Went 9-0 in 1991. Comeback win over the Lansing Catholic Cougars at home. Lose to the Monroe St. Mary’s Catholic Central Cougars in a closed one in the Class B Regional Championship Game. They went on to be Class B State Champions in 1991. Loss to the Corunna Cavaliers in the regular season & got revenge in the Class B Playoffs on the road. Lose to the Montrose Rams in the Class B Regional Championship Game at Montrose HS. 1993 Millington HS Graduate.
Went to Northern Michigan University in Marquette. I went to the Superior Dome 2 weeks ago. See the Deckerville Eagles beat the Pickford Panthers in the Division 1 8-Player Football State Championship Game. Get a 30-28 win.
Got his degree in Education. Found a job back home at Millington HS. Help out the Millington Cardinals Football Team. Tim Furno is glad to have him there anyways. Well liked by everyone else in the Millington Community. 1999 squad went to the Division 5 Semifinals. Lose to the Detroit Country Day Yellowjackets 7-3 at Atwood Stadium in Flint. Ryan Woodward, Brandon Coleman, Dustin Daniels, & company.
Really good friends with Matt Hoard, Craig Morton, Rob Titsworth, & company. Good core of athletes in the Class of 1993 at Millington HS. Good at every sport they were good at. Good group of people in that bunch.
Matt Hoard best QB the Millington Cardinals ever had in school history. Went on to play at Northern Michigan University in Marquette. Spending his playing days at Superior Dome. Hall of Famer. His son Aidan on the roster now. QB on Northern Michigan. Suffered a knee injury. Played on the Division 5 State Runner-Up in 2022. His brother Lleyton scored a TD run against the Pontiac Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish on Saturday in the Division 5 State Championship Game at Ford Field in Detroit. Lose 42-7. 3 Division 5 State Runner-Up Finishers in the last 5 years for the Frankenmuth Eagles Football Team. Very well liked by the Millington & Frankenmuth community. Good personality.
See the Michigan Wolverines Football Team upset the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday at the Horseshoe in Columbus 13-10. Big Michigan Wolverines Sports Fan. See them be National Champions on January 8th, 2024 at NRG Stadium in Houston. Get a 34-13 win over the Washington Huskies. Beat the Alabama Crimson Tide on New Year’s Day in Pasadena, CA. Get a 27-20 OT win. Stuff QB Jalen Milroe on the last play of the game on 4th & goal. Win the 110th Rose Bowl Title. Go 15-0 a year ago.
Detroit Lions doing good work once again. Went to the NFC Championship Game on January 29th, 2024. Lose to the San Francisco 49ers 34-31 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA. NFC North Division Champions on Christmas Eve at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Beat the Minnesota Vikings. Win 2 home playoff games. 11-1 on the season.
Tim Furno roommate with Lloyd Carr at Northern Michigan University in Marquette. Lloyd Carr guided the 1997 Michigan Wolverines Football Team a share of the National Championship with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Go 12-0 on the 1997-98 season in Ann Arbor.
Tim majored in education at NMU. Gym teacher at Millington HS. Weight lifting coach for a long time. Football Head Coach as well too. Big Michigan State Spartans Fan in East Lansing. Glad to see Jason Germain do amazing things as Head Coach in Millington.
0-6 in the Semifinal games. 7th semifinal game was a win. Get a 42-35 win over the North Muskegon Norseman in Lansing on November 23rd. Setup the Division 7 State Championship Game on Saturday. Get a 24-0 win over the Monroe St. Mary’s Catholic Central Falcons at Ford Field in Detroit. Finished the 2024 campaign at 13-0 on the season.
