Sandusky Redskins handled there business in GTCE Division Play on Saturday against the Defending GTCE Division Champions Ubly Bearcats at Ubly HS. Ubly is a very tough place to play if there good out there. Sandusky was prepared very well in this contest & got a nice road victory in a tough hostile environment. Al DeMott has done a remarkable job as Head Coach of this program in his 41 years for the Sandusky Redskins Girls Basketball Team & Program. Had a lot of returning players off the squad a year ago that went 19-5 overall record. Division 3 District Champions & lose to the Hemlock Huskies in the Regional Semifinal Game on March 10th, 2020 at USA HS. Good JV Squad as well too that went 19-1 overall record a year ago. Ubly Bearcats has some key players comeback from GTCE Division & Division 4 District Championship Team. Won the Regional Semifinal Game & Regional Championship Game got cancelled a year ago with the COVID-19 Pandemic started that week too. Both team couldn’t play summer Basketball last season with those restrictions they where in too. Handled that one nicely indeed. Did do some Basketball stuff on there own anyways. Joel Leipprandt does a very good job with those girls on the squad. Dajnae Leipprandt not a big girl weight wise & height wise she is big. Strong girl for how skinny she is. Not scared to score points inside for skinny she is & how strong she is as well too. Saw score 18 points in the lost to the Reese Rockets in GTC Crossover Game at Ubly HS. Scored 16 points in the 2nd Half of that contest on Thursday Night at Ubly HS. Josie Gusa is a good PG on the Basketball Team for Ubly. Nice core of Seniors on that Ubly Bearcats Girls Basketball Team this season. Give credit to Al DeMott on a job well done in this big GTCE Division Girls Basketball Game on Saturday at Ubly HS. Girls respond very well in this contest in a 33-31 road victory in a tough hostile environment. Nice core of young players for the Sandusky Redskins Girls Basketball Team in 2021. 3-0 on the campaign & 1-0 in GTCE Division Play right now. Depth on that Sandusky Redskins Girls Basketball Team in 2021. Al does a very good job with this program year in & year out at Sandusky. Both teams will win there share of games in 2021. Ubly Bearcats being my team to beat in the GTCE Division once again. Both teams are solid once again for 2nd straight season in a row.
